To Welcome Your Breath

Practice begins and ends with the breath.

It seems so obvious, yet we forget our breath.

And then when we remember, we reconnect to ourselves.

Why is this important?

Does it matter that we can observe ourselves breathing?

Does it matter that we can gently modify and soften ourselves through breathing?

Does it matter that we can rest in a sacred pause in between in breath and out breath?

It's important to have portals to return to what matters.

To have maps and touchstones and healing paths.

To remember how to be with this life.

To seek the clear calm water beneath the turbulence of day-to-day life.

When we pause and notice and feel into our breath, either through awareness or practice-

we see more clearly, learn calm abiding, and heal into our lives.
