Finding Quiet

Are you ensconced in winter?

Or are you resisting the season?

Do you allow each season to inform your biorhythm?

Do you feel blue with the holiday comedown and the shorter days?

What is challenging in the lean days of winter?

How can you embrace winter's gifts?

Allowing the initial discomfort of increased quiet is a great beginning.

Just because quiet can feel foreign to us, does not mean it's not valuable.

We can ease into our sensations, our ruminations, our questions.

If we become flooded by fears, anxieties, or old wounds, we tend to avoid quiet.

To alleviate wariness and care for ourselves, we go slowly, methodically, carefully.

We embrace what we love. We include movement. We practice consistency.
