How do you know the difference between thoughts and feelings?
And why does it matter?
When we check in regularly, methodically, and non-judgmentally,
we taste freedom of the heart.
The heart has a wisdom that is unfettered, unharmed, and unconditional.
Ever-changing moods remind us what needs tending, what needs care.
Allow this inquiry some spacious simplicity.
Allow it to nurture you this holiday season.
What am I feeling? And how does this serve me or inform me?
Worry? Sadness?
And in contrast- what am I thinking?
Ruminating? Planning?
May you lean into a little holiday care.
May holiday joy and wise practice find you.
