The Sacred Pause

How does a mini rest and renewal type of pause reset and reground?

Do little pauses really make a difference?

Do we actually return refreshed from the sacred pause?

And more importantly, does this practice help us to be stronger and more balanced?

Absolutely. It's advised in all wellness, religious, and spiritual circles.

To pause now and again.

It's restful. But it's not a nap.

It's a practice. But it's not about doing.

It's simple. But it's not easy.

Do you have a practice that allows you to pause in the midst of it all?

A few tips-

-set your watch or phone reminder to pause several times a day

-no agenda- just pause

-use your breath to ground and to pay attention to how you feel

-check in with where your attention is- past/present/future

-just a minute or so- not too long

-notice patterns over a few weeks

The sacred pause is how you allow life to unfold. To be ok.

To learn equanimity through actual practice.

To connect body, heart and mind.

How can something so simple be so powerful? Try it:)
